Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan – 10.04.2003 @ Larimer Lounge
I uncovered this 2003 show last weekend when going through an old box of DATs. On a night off between Queens of the Stone Age gigs, Nick Oliveri stopped by the Larimer Lounge for a last-minute solo acoustic set. The highlights of this set (for me) were the cover of Roky Erickson’s Bloody Hammer, and Mark Lanegan‘s appearance on-stage to sing vocals on a few tracks. I ran out of batteries near the end of the show, but by that point the crowd had become so intoxicated you could barely hear the guitar over the tomfoolery.
Update: Westword still has a review of this show available online.
